Meat
At Jack's we believe passionately in fresh local food and we have sourced for your enjoyment as many locally produced foods as possible. We are extremely lucky in Dorset to have such vast array of quality farms and producers to choose from. Our Dorset steaks are from a local family run farm at Tarrant Rawlston, Dorset, where the cattle are grazing for most of the year on the naturally lush and mineral rich grass of the Tarrant Valley. This produces top quality beef from Aberdeen Angus and Hereford herds, the meat is hung on the bone and aged for at least 21 days for flavour and texture. We also use freshly ground beef from the same herds using only the prime cuts of Chuck, Fore Rib and Brisket to produce our hand-crafted burgers. Our pork ribs also come from Dorset and we marinate them in some real USA Pitmaster herbs and spices overnight before being fired in our ovens low and slow for more than 4 hours. They are finished off on the flame grill with your choice of glaze.
Dairy
With so many dairy farms near to Weymouth and Dorchester we were able to procure our eggs, milk and cheesesfrom very close by. Award winning cheeses are provided by Ford Farm and Woodbridge Farm whilst our milk and cream comes from Craigs Farm Dairy at Osmington just outside Weymouth. We use Coastal Cheddar which has a distinctive rugged mature Cheddar taste and for a smokey cheese we utilise Dorset Red which has been smoked over natural oak chippings at a local smokery. Our blue cheese is the famous Dorset Blue Vinny only made in Dorset near Sturminster Newton.
Locally Sourced
Most of the products on our menu are locally produced or farmed, meat, fish, dairy, bar nibbles etc. where we cannot find a local producer we use responsible local suppliers to provide us with products locally sourced from Dorset and it's neighbouring counties. We are pleased to be working with Robert's Foodservice of Weymouth and Hunt's of Sherborne who both provide us with local produce.

The Tastiest Sunday Carvery in Weymouth!
Probably the best in Weymouth! If you like fresh food that is, if you prefer microwaved and frozen then you are spoilt for choice elsewhere.
Every Sunday Jack gets up really early to fire up the ovens and slow cook our locally sourced meats, before making the Yorkshire puds and preparing the locally sourced fresh vegetables for later. Jack loves crispy on the outside and fluffy centred roasties so embarks on a thrice cooked potato process to make sure every potato is just how he likes it. Jack then roasts the parsnips in honey and his secret ingredient, Jack then starts the homemade gravy with some more secret ingredients and gets the fresh vegetables before handing over to the Sunday team, they have a lie in on Sunday, because they would have been busy the night before!
